The twin towns of Yarrawonga-Mulwala, separated by the Murray River, boast a large and beautiful man-made lake and attract holiday makers, golfers, anglers, aquatic sports fanatics, bush walkers and campers. Yarrawonga-Mulwala always offers a warm welcome.

Fresh water splendor

Known as Sun Country it features plenty of sunshine and a bright open landscape. Pretty sandy beaches along the river offer quiet swimming spots on a warm day and canoes are available for hire to explore the backwaters and lagoons. Alternatively, take a cruise or some waterskiing lessons on Lake Mulwala.

A spot of golf?

A beautiful river town

As you come down the main street of Yarrawonga, the expanse of Lake Mulwala unfolds before you – an enticing stretch of open water close to town enjoyed by water skiers, sailors and other boating enthusiasts. To the horizon in the east the lake disappears into a wonderland of protected water that draws the fisherman and canoeist to explore, not only the lake, but also the everglade region of the Murray and Ovens Rivers.

The Murray River downstream of Lake Mulwala is popular for camping, hiking, bike riding and the all sorts of on-water activities.

Yarrawonga and Border golf Club, in Mulwala, boasts 45 holes of championship golf in one location. The enthusiastic golfer can indulge their passion on beautifully designed courses that feature River and Lake views at every turn.
