What Locals Love About Heathcote

Bob Bevan

I like all the food outlets we have and patronize all of them, I also love the many forest trails which are great for mountain biking. The argyle forrest has lots of wildlife and tranquil settings. There is a lot of history here, from war camps, gold fields, wood production and farming, old train lines repurposed as a trail trail. We also have world famous wines. It’s a friendly place and it’s home.

I love the wide and tree lined streets and the impressive array of many of the original buildings. I also love the individuality of so many of the shops, many have dual products, such as clothing shops also providing coffee, coffee shops selling antiques. And finally, Heathcote has an abundance of wineries and vineyards, amazing and ancient geology of the area and its gold digging past, and wealth of walking and cycling tracks.
