The Wellington Shire region, which is in Central Gippsland, is a very diverse area, it stretches from the snowfields to the ocean including the longest unbroken stretch of beach in the world, the Ninety Mile Beach. It also has beautiful National Parks, High Country and Wetlands within an hours drive of Sale.
Central Gippsland offers many activities for visitors to the region, some of which are water activities on Lake Wellington such as water skiing, sailing, canoeing and swimming, you can also go cycling, horse riding, bush walking or hiking along the picturesque landscape.
The Central Gippsland Visitor Centre is now housed within the Port of Sale Hub, giving visitors access to the regional gallery with the Gippsland Art Gallery and the Sale Library. Visitors can also relax with a coffee at Dock 70 while overlooking the beautiful Port of Sale.
