National heritage listed, Block 19 Bonegilla was originally an army camp during World War 11, and later served as Australia's largest migrant reception centre.Today, one in 20 Australians have links to Bonegilla through parents, brothers, sisters, uncles, aunts or grandparents. The Bonegilla Migrant Experience brings to life the stories and experiences of these people, and their family's contribution to the formation of our multicultural society.Bonegilla Migrant experience is an intimate glimpse into the hopes and dreams of Australia's post-war migrants.Free admission.Tours available for groups and schools by appointment.
