Welcome to the experience that is the National Vietnam Veterans Museum. Our aim is to provide visitors with a fascinating, emotional, rewarding and educational journey through the tumultuous years of the Vietnam conflict. Our extensive collection of artefacts, interactive exhibits and moving personal accounts conveys the stories of the servicemen and women, who gave so much of themselves, in a way that informs and inspires, leaving a legacy for future generations to be educated about this period in Australia's history, Starting with the holographic Light and Sound show helps visitors understand the significance of Australia's military involvement by outlining the causes and consequences of the conflict. You can investigate this era by seeing it through the eyes of Vietnam veterans as you explore the museum. Look at the conscription ballot balls and barrel used in the system on National Service that divided our nation. Walk beneath and around such key vehicles as helicopters, a tank, watch the restoration progress of the Canberra bomber. See yourself in the boots of a Tunnel Rat or the helmet of a Chopper Pilot. Endlessly fascinating and absorbing, no matter what age group.
