PUFFING BILLY STEAM RAILWAY
The Touring Routes

Puffing Billy Railway is Australia’s favourite steam train and one of the finest preserved steam railways in the world. The railway commenced operation on December 18, 1900 and travels 24kms through the forests, fern gullies and rolling farmlands of the magnificent Dandenong Ranges to Emerald Lake Park and Gembrook.

Together with traditional excursion train journeys, Puffing Billy offers a range of unique “First Class” wine and dine experiences. Enjoy lunch or dinner seated in the beautifully restored heritage dining carriages.

Group bookings on all scheduled trains may be made and special charter trains for groups of up to 250 are also available. 'Special Interest' groups can also be catered for with escorted tours.
